A little bit about me.... |
My father had a dog. This dog didn’t have a good start in life and in a childs eyes he was sometimes a mean dog, but he was OUR dog and my Father recognised the dogs difficulties and rewarded his devotion and loyalty and cared for him sympathetically until a very old age.
Now, you would think growing up with this dog would make me hate dogs! On the contrary, it taught me to respect them, and to learn to look after the dogs and other animals I was privileged to know and do everything in my ability to give them a good life, to learn how best to care for and appreciate them. As an animal loving family we continued to have lots of pets, from the white guinea pig and rescued rabbits, to when in my early teens I was privileged to have a pony. He wasn’t a very pretty pony, but he was the world to me and that set me off to learning how to ride and care for him. I worked a number of years in commercial livery yards and two years for PGL in Wales, leading pony treks before settling on becoming a travel agent and working for a number of agencies and airlines but this passion to have a life filled with animals did not slow much in my adult years and I have always had two dogs (sometimes three) and too many horses. I walk, and ride as much as I can and everyday think how fortunate I am. I still have one very elderly guinea pig and another elderly resident cat and have recently ventured on another learning curve and started keeping chickens, which is maddeningly fun and truly addictive – much to the Jack Russell terriers delight who are always keen to help! I’m happy to help anyone and always learning new skills from my own pets. Having worked for a time at Total Pet Services I decided to start this venture and turn my hobby in to a business in my own area of Potton and Biggleswade. The website will grow as Total Pet Services - Biggleswade does, so I hope you enjoy exploring it and hope to hear from you soon! Su |
